Born in Athens in 1977, Virginia Makri studied Psychology at the Université Lyon-Lumière II, France and at the Université de Montréal, Canada. She obtained her Master’s degree in Psychological Assessment from Goldsmith’s College, University of London. She has worked as a development, recruitment and training consultant and continues to offer her services privately in this field.

She has also trained and worked privately in recent years as a psychologist-psychotherapist for adolescents and adults using the Biosynthesis method of somatic psychotherapy. At the same time, she uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with adolescents and adults in cases of trauma and phobias. She strongly believes in the connection and interplay of emotion, body and spirit, and the contribution and influence of the body’s cellular memory in development, behavior and how the individual relates to the environment.

In addition, she specializes in the clinical psychological assessment of adolescents and adults with personality questionnaires and problem processes. At the same time, she combines vocational guidance with adolescent counseling for more effective treatment and guidance of adolescents. Finally, she is a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists, the Hellenic Society of Counselling and the International Institute of Biosynthesis.
