Katerina Pantazi

I was born in May 1975 and grew up in the beautiful city of Volos.

I am the first child of a family of six.

I am married to George Kotsi (doctor – ENT) and we have a daughter Maria.

I studied at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where I graduated in 2001.

During my studies, I volunteered in the field of drug prevention, organizing at the chair of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of the University, an association called “Anti-Drug Youth Race” informing school students about the complications of addictive substances use.

I served as a rural physician for one and a half (1 ½) years in the Almyros region of Magnesia Prefecture.

Then I trained for two (2) years at the Pediatric Clinic of the P.G. Hospital of Volos and two (2) years at the B’ University Pediatric Clinic of the General Children’s Hospital of Athens “P. & Aglaia Kyriakou”.

I also worked as a resident at the Neonatology Clinic of the University Hospital of Larissa for nine (9) months.

In the year 2008, I successfully participated in the written examinations of the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLE) and received the title of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

In the year 2010, I received my specialty title in Pediatrics.

Since the spring of 2010, I have been offering my services as a Pediatrician and Breastfeeding Consultant in the prefecture of Attica, with a practice in the area of Alimos.

Continuous Medical Education:

APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support) diploma holder.
Scientific cooperation in the Unit of Developmental Pediatrics of the Hospital of Pediatrics. Scientific cooperation in the field of Pediatric Pediatric Pediatrics at the “P. & Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital.
Scientific cooperation and Training of prospective Lactation Consultants at the Neonatology Unit and the 3rd University Obstetrics Clinic of the P.G.N.A. “Attikon”.
Scientific cooperation with the pediatric clinics of “Metropolitan Hospital” and “Athens Medical Center”.
Active participation and attendance in more than ninety (90) international and Greek conferences and seminars in Pediatrics and more than twenty (20) international and Greek seminars on breastfeeding.
