Alimos Chess Club – Mind Sports “Thucydides”

Since 2017 our club has come to Alimos to offer what was missing for years. Chess and mind sports are hosted in the event space of the Alimos EPAL and offer young and old the opportunity to learn and engage with the King of mind sports. With the support of our Municipality we hold individual and team competitions of our city’s schools. We actively participate in all chess competitions of the Greek Chess Federation.

Our chess academy already has 50 children at an increasing rate. The appeal of the sport to the youth is great and the development of many youngsters is rapid.

Chess came to Alimos to write HISTORY.
