A few words about the dietician:
Alexandra Georgiou was born in Athens and grew up in Alimos. Alexandria, Athens, Greece. She completed her Master’s degree in April 2015, during which she was an IKY Scholar under the IKY-Siemens Scholarships for Excellence. Her thesis was on: “Short- and long-term benefits of a nutritional intervention for fruit and vegetable consumption applied to infants during weaning. (European HabEat project)”, while the topic of her master’s thesis was “Development of an index to assess the likelihood of obesity in school-age children”. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Harokopeio University with the thesis topic “Study of assessment of nutritional status of patients with liver cirrhosis”.
From 2013 to 2015 she was a scientific associate at the Children’s Hospital “Aghia Sophia” and was employed as a dietician at the hospital’s Clinic for the Treatment of Increased Body Weight within the framework of the NSRF programme, where she provided dietary guidance to children and adolescents with increased weight. At the same time, from 2013 until today she is a scientific collaborator of Harokopio University, participating in the design and implementation of prevention and evaluation programs for nutrition-related phenomena such as childhood obesity, diabetes mellitus, regulation of hunger, etc.
She attends workshops and conferences related to her field, some of which she attends as an invited speaker or to present the results of her research activities. At the same time, she writes articles in various prestigious international and Greek medical and scientific journals. She also provides informative talks in relation to nutrition at various public information events. She also holds a Sports Nutrition Specialist certification recognized by the global body ISSN.

The dietetic office:
The office is legally licensed. The site provides scientifically supported individualized nutrition programs for:

– Fat measurement using the bioelectric impedance method (segmental analysis on each arm and leg and torso on the parameters: fat mass, muscle mass, bone mass estimation, hydration level, basal metabolic rate, visceral fat estimation)
– Chest-waist-gluteal circumference
– Skin folds (thoracic, biceps, abdominal, hyperplasia, thigh, etc.)

In special cases (bedridden patients, vision problems, mobility difficulties, etc.), a diet and monitoring program can be designed with home visits at your place, after consultation with the dietician.
