Mrs. Georgia Vamvaka completed her specialization in psychiatry at the Daphni Psychiatric Hospital, taking on cases from the full range of psychopathology with the organization of a therapeutic plan based on dialogue and negotiation with the patient without resorting to repressive measures.

Experience in psychosocial rehabilitation (Head Psychiatrist of the Odysseia outpatient housing structure). Taking on cases at the Psychiatric Clinic of Agioi Anargyroi with emphasis on group, personal intervention, monitoring and rehabilitation of psychiatric cases in the community.

She worked in the sleep centre of the Orbassano Hospital in Turin. She completed a Dissertation entitled “Panic attacks and new therapeutic methods of treatment” and conducted a Psychiatric Research on “Dream, Psychosis and Art”. She has been involved in psychoanalytic work in the context of seminars at the Lacanian School in Turin, especially on topics related to “Female Sexuality”, as well as in teaching and personal training and psychoanalysis. In addition, she has attended Lacanian psychoanalysis seminars entitled “From psychiatry to psychoanalysis” at the Daphni. Finally, she is a member of the EC of the New Lacanian School, which she actively participates in and continuously attends. She maintains a private practice and is the psychiatrist in charge of the Urban or non-profit company “Fainareti”, contributing to its work, which is to promote the care and support of the pregnant woman, the new mother of the newborn and the family.
